Document Solutions Manager

The Document Solutions Manager (DSM) is responsible for generating new business by representing EMERGE SOLUTIONS and its unique and exclusive service offerings. The ideal individual for this role has experience leveraging relationships and identifying business opportunities while using proven sales methodology to negotiate and close deals. This person will understand business products such as software as a service (SaaS), business process outsourcing and document management. The DSM will be accountable for all aspects of the sales cycle and is responsible for delivering persuasive solutions and presentations that will convince potential clients to do business with the company commensurate with defined sales quotas.

The DSM will be a salary/commission position. At 100% achievement of sales quota, compensation would be 40% salary and 60% commission ($112,000 - $150,000 total targeted compensation).

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Telephone, email and in person cold calls to prospective customers in assigned/designated territory
  • Build and maintain long-lasting relationships with potential clients
  • Establish and maintain a working knowledge of EMERGE SOLUTIONS product in order to be able to talk intelligently about service-related topics and identify new business opportunities
  • Identify, contact, follow up with, and close new business related to any of EMERGE SOLUTIONS’ offered services
  • Prepare and present appropriate presentations, by webinar or in person at the prospect locations
  • Work with other team members to develop proposals that speaks to the client’s needs, concerns, and objectives
  • Travel to potential client sites to interact with stakeholders face-to-face
  • Attend industry functions, such as conferences or trade shows, in order to network and further the EMERGE SOLUTIONS brand while collecting information on market and creative trends
  • Identify opportunities for campaigns, services, and distribution channels that will lead to an increase in sales
  • Forecast and track key account metrics in order to meet or exceed monthly, quarterly and annual sales quota
  • Qualify and maintain a “pipeline” commensurate with targeted sales quota on a monthly basis. Regularly update the Salesforce CRM system to accurately reflect the daily status of each lead and opportunity
  • Demonstrate knowledge of and support the company mission, vision, value statements, standards, policies and procedures, operating instructions, confidentiality standards, and the code of ethical behavior
  • All other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or other related field; combination of education and additional years of related experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree
  • At least 3 years of B2B experience interacting with customers or an equivalent combination of sales experience with a proven track record of success
  • Familiarity with document management, storage or scanning

Required Skills:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong prospecting skills on the phone and/or in person
  • Strong knowledge of document imaging operations and document systems
  • Proven presentation skills for creating and administering presentations to groups of varying size
  • Excellent organization skills with extensive attention to detail
  • Strong listening and negotiating abilities
  • Proficiency using Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Able to manage multiple tasks and projects
  • High level of initiative and follow-through
  • Able to establish and maintain strong working relationships with senior management, as well as new and established clients
  • High degree of confidentiality, discretion, and professionalism
  • Exhibits a high degree of executive presence in interacting with others
